9th fib International PhD Symposium in Civil Engineering

The Symposium

The fib International PhD Symposium in Civil Engineering is an established event in the academic calendar of doctoral students. It is held under the patronage of The International Federation for Structural Concrete (fib), one of the key international associations spreading knowledge about concrete and its use in construction.

The 9th fib International PhD Symposium will be held at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany, from July 22 to 25, 2012. It provides the chance for PhD-students from all over the world to present their research projects to an international audience and share information and experience with colleagues from the international research community.

The duration of each oral presentation will be 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for discussions. As a tradition, the most outstanding papers and presentations will be awarded a price, sponsored by notable industry partners. The organizers welcome all PhD students in civil engineering to submit a paper to this symposium.
